Recognizing Patients and Team Members for their Community Service
Dental Associates has been a proud partner of the Green Bay Packers since 2013. As Wisconsin-based, service-focused organizations, we share many ideals and are dedicated to recognizing those who make our local communities better places to live.
As a part of Dental Associates’ celebration of our partnership with the Green Bay Packers, team members from each of our clinics recently nominated patients or fellow staff members who they believed were making a positive impact in their community. In total, five patients and six staff members were chosen to be recognized for their contributions to their communities and clinics. Prizes ranged from autographed Packers merchandise to Packers game tickets.
A patient care coordinator at our Wauwatosa clinic, Cristin Kratz, nominated Jacarrie Carr, a patient of Dental Associates Wauwatosa since May and a local schoolteacher. As the overall winner of our “Giving Thanks” campaign, he received two tickets to the Packers v. Texans game on Sunday, December 4th! Here is a photo of him at the game:
Jacarrie Kicks 4 Kids - Changing the World Two Feet at a Time
When Jacarrie Carr started to collect gently-used shoes for less fortunate kids in 2013, he had no idea it would turn into a charity that would ultimately help thousands of kids in the Milwaukee area to get the help they need. Now known as “Jacarrie Kicks 4 Kids,” his cause has expanded into a widely-recognized nonprofit where he helps children in the community grow through various programs.
The organization helps provide refurbished shoes, backpacks, and school supplied to underprivileged kids, as well as organize personal development opportunities such as teaching sign language, reading events, teaching about nutrition, and bringing speakers to talk to the kids. Jacarrie started the organization and has helped thousands of kids and their parents feel more comfortable about their financial and social situation through these various donations and education events.
Dental Associates is proud to have such generous patients and staff, and we thank them for all they do for our Wisconsin communities!
